Last week I was up half the night before my flight to Cancun, praying that the ‘bomb cyclone’ aka blizzard didn’t keep me from getting to Mexico for Amy and Clay’s wedding! Luckily, I was one of the last flights out at 6am. Johnny, unfortunately, was not so lucky. The only upside to him staying home was that I could eat for two at the reception :).
After arriving the first thing I did was scout the area, and I couldn’t believe just how gorgeous their resort was. We stayed at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. There was plenty of amazing ocean views, but the tropical trees and plants were also lush and colorful, making it the perfect landscape for a wedding.
A few days before their wedding, we woke up at 7am for sunrise photos on the beach. It was one of the easiest photoshoots, and I felt like we were just friends taking photos for fun by the end of it.
